This weekend, our team had the opportunity to give back to our beautiful Keansburg community by participating in a beach sweep organized by Save Coastal Wildlife. The event was not only a chance to clean up litter from our shoreline but also a great way to connect with fellow residents and nature enthusiasts.
One of the most interesting items we found was a half-moon, which we believe symbolizes a connection to our town's history and future. It was a reminder of the unique treasures that our beach holds and the importance of preserving its natural beauty.
We also encountered a stolen backpack, which was promptly recovered by the Keansburg Police Department (KPD). It was a stark reminder of the challenges our community faces and the importance of coming together to address them.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Half Moon Restaurant for providing volunteers with a warm and dry place, as well as an early happy hour. Their hospitality was greatly appreciated by all who participated.
We are proud to have participated in this event and are committed to continuing our efforts to keep Keansburg clean and safe. A big thank you to Save Coastal Wildlife for organizing the beach sweep and to everyone who joined us in making a difference.
