Meet Braden Salas

Braden Salas, born in Teaneck, New Jersey, grew up in Belford, a part of Middletown. Some of his favorite memories involve Keansburg Amusement Park, where both of his older sisters worked, and where he regularly celebrated birthday parties.

Braden graduated from Middletown North High School and went on to attend Pace University in Manhattan, earning a BBA in Public Accounting with a minor in Entrepreneurship, graduating in December 2016. He began his career as an Anti-Money Laundering Investigation Analyst. Returning to New Jersey in 2020 to find a home with his husband and two dogs. The family's search led them to Keansburg, where locals spoke highly of its improvements and potential, and where Braden’s fond childhood memories resurfaced.

In April 2021, they found their home in Keansburg, where they quickly fell in love with the town. Friendly neighbors, a vibrant community, and lively activities and events confirmed their decision. With a subsequent career change in May 2022 to the marketing industry allowed life to fall into place for Braden. He is grateful for his health, happiness, and the chance to be closer to family and friends.

Upon moving to Keansburg, Braden eagerly attended council meetings and sought ways to contribute. After years of involvement growing up, he looks forward to getting back to his roots. In high school, he was Vice President of the Student Council, President of the Environmental Club, Editor of the Yearbook, a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the planning committee for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and founder of the Gay-Straight Alliance.

Outside of work and community involvement, Braden enjoys the beach, paddle boarding, gardening, home projects, and playing tennis with his husband.
